Pedestrian hit and killed on US 95 near Boulder City was rollerblading

UPDATE, April 6 | A man was rollerblading on U.S. 95 when he was struck and killed by a pickup Wednesday, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

Troopers responded to the collision, where the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation indicates he was heading south in a travel lane when he was struck by a Ford F150 pickup.

The driver was taken to Boulder City Hospital as a precaution, NHP said in a statement.

The identity of the person killed has not been released.

ORIGINAL | A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle on US 95 near Boulder City.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol Southern Command's Twitter page, the accident took place just before 8:30 p.m. at US 95 southbound at Clark County Mile Marker 48.

At this time, all southbound lanes are closed.

Drivers are to use caution and expect delays in the area.
