Pedestrian seriously injured in crash near Nellis, Sahara
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
A pedestrian was taken to a hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a pickup truck Wednesday night in the east valley, according to authorities.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say the crash was reported just before 9:20 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, on N. Nellis Boulevard north of E. Sahara Avenue.
Investigators learned a Toyota Tacoma was going north on Nellis when a pedestrian walking across Sahara walked in front of it.
The driver of the Toyota stopped the pickup truck to report the crash. LVMPD says the pedestrian, identified as a 39-year-old man, was outside of a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash.
The pedestrian was taken to UMC, and the crash is under investigation.
