Police arrest man accused in murder of homeless woman

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has arrested a man in connection to the death of a homeless woman.

On May 7, 2018 around 4:38 a.m. LVMPD Laughlin officers responded to a suspicious death of a homeless woman in the desert area near the Colorado River Heritage Trail.

During the initial investigation, it was not known how the victim died and the body was taken for examination. The Clark County Coroner’s Office determined the cause and manner of death was blunt force trauma.

As a result of the investigation conducted by the LVMPD Homicide Section, 46-year-old Aaron Campbell was identified as the suspect and an arrest warrant was issued.

On Tuesday, LVMPD Laughlin Units conducted a person stop on Campbell in the 2100 block of Casino Drive and arrested him for the outstanding arrest warrant.
