The North Las Vegas Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying an assault suspect.

Officers responded to a church in the 1900 block of Glider Street on Saturday, Jan. 19, in reference to an assault of a female teenager.

The suspect fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival.

Detectives say the suspect posed as someone working at the church, shaking hands and speaking to people.

He then pulled the victim out of line, suggesting that he needed to “counsel” her.

The suspect then led the victim to the bathroom where he touched the victim inappropriately.

After the victim told the suspect her age, he left the bathroom immediately and was last seen on foot southbound on Glider Street.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 6’1”, 225 pounds with short black hair and a full beard and mustache.
