Police investigate scene of hit-and-run in southwest valley
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
Several police officers could be seen responding to the scene of a suspected hit-and-run crash Wednesday morning in a southwest valley neighborhood.
Officers were seen in the area of Warm Springs Road and Tenaya Way, just west of Rainbow Boulevard, where a car had serious front-end damage.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police reported a hit-and-run crash just before 6:15 a.m.
According to Officer Laura Meltzer with LVMPD, police got a report of a car that hit a pole, with two occupants running away from the scene.
Officers were able to get one person in custody fairly quickly, Metlzer said, but the second person remains at large.
The registered owner of the car is wanted on an outstanding charge, she said, though it was unclear if that was the person in custody.
