Police name woman arrested for accessory to murder in Sunrise Avenue shooting

Metro has released the name and booking photo of a woman arrested Friday for accessory to murder in a shooting Friday afternoon not far from downtown.

Porshay Banks, 24, is being held at the Clark County Detention Center on one count of accessory to murder.

Metro's news release said the shooter has not been arrested as of early Saturday, and the motive remains unknown.

About 1:05 p.m. Friday, officers were sent to the 2100 block of Sunrise Avenue to investigate reports of a gunshot. Arriving officers located an unresponsive man in front of an apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel.

An investigation by Metro's Homicide Section indicated the man was shot inside an apartment and was dragged outside by Banks.

The death is the 154th homicide investigated by Metro this year

The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner.
