LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Couples looking to tie the knot this month in Las Vegas can grab a marriage license when they get off the plane.
A spokesman for Clark County says a pop-up marriage license office will open at McCarran International Airport next week to make the process faster and easier during the Valentine's Day and Presidents Day holiday period.
It's the second year of the pop-up office, according to Lynn Goya, the county clerk. More than 1,500 marriage licenses are issued in the days leading up to and on Valentine's Day.
"This is always one of our busiest times of the year, and the pop-up office makes it very easy for couples flying here to pick up a marriage license," Goya said in a statement.
The office will be open from Feb. 13-16, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., in the baggage claim area of Terminal 1. The office will only issue marriage licenses, and it will accept credit card payments. Licenses cost $77, and valid identification is required.
Couples are still asked to fill out a pre-application available online ahead of time.
