LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) — Construction work on Project Neon and other projects will cause several possible delays on valley roads starting tonight.
Some of the work includes:
SIGNAL WORK AT CRAIG & LAMB: Lane restrictions will be in place nightly from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. starting tonight, July 24 through Friday, (July 29). TransCore will be removing and replacing traffic signal sections. A flashing red signal will be in place will work occurs, with at least one travel lane remaining open at all times. Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage and take alternate routes, if possible.
NORTHBOUND I-15 TO WESTBOUND SPRING MOUNTAIN ROAD: The Nevada Department of Transportation will close a lane on the northbound Interstate 15 to westbound Spring Mountain Road off-ramp exit from 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday. Contractor TransCore will perform overhead lighting work across ramp lane. Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage and take alternate routes, if possible.
PROJECT NEON: NDOT will be doing nightly Project Neon related construction work from Sunday through Saturday in downtown Las Vegas. There will be temporary lane restrictions, as needed.
Sunday and Monday: The southbound U.S. Highway 95 off-ramp right shoulder to Rancho Drive will be closed, and two lanes of southbound Rancho Drive from U.S. Highway 95 to Mesquite Avenue will be closed from 9 p.m. Sunday until 6 a.m. Monday because of potholing and utility work.
Sunday through Saturday: The right lane of eastbound Charleston Boulevard will be closed from Interstate 15 to Grand Central Parkway, and there will lane restrictions along westbound Charleston Boulevard from Grand Central Parkway to Martin Luther King Boulevard nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday through July 29, for grading, utility and median work. There will be lane restrictions on the northbound Interstate 15 off-ramp to westbound Charleston Boulevard nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday through July 29 for grading, utility and median work. There will be lane restrictions along south and northbound Grand Central Parkway from the Iron Horse Court loop to Charleston Boulevard nightly from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sunday through July 29, for grading, utility and median work.
Monday and Tuesday: The right two lanes of northbound Martin Luther King Boulevard will be closed from Mineral Avenue to Bonanza Road from 9 p.m. Monday, until 6 a.m. Tuesday for utility work.
