LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The scenic drive at the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area is closed for the remainder of Monday.
The Southern Nevada Conservancy shared the news from the Bureau of Land Management, which oversees Red Rock.
Unsafe conditions caused by the weather were cited as the reason for the closure.
Monday was a fee-free day at Red Rock Canyon to mark Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The next day on which standard amenity fees are waived will be Monday, Feb. 20, for President's Day.
Visit the BLM website to see a full list of fee-free dates in 2023.
