LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — There will be no charge to visit Red Rock Canyon on Monday next week.
The Bureau of Land Management says entrance fees for the national conservation area will be waived on Presidents' Day Monday, Feb. 18.
Other fees for camping and group day use remain in effect.
BLM officials expect a lot of visitors on Monday, with the most congestion anticipated between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Other fee-free days later this year will be June 8 for National Get Outdoors Day, Sept. 28 for National Public Lands Day and Nov. 11 for Veterans Day.
