REPORT: Phone app helps man locate girlfriend allegedly kidnapped and beaten

An arrest report states 18-year-old Samaya Bailey invited a woman to have drinks with her inside a hotel room at a local resort.

The two went to the room where the woman was introduced to 19-year-old Shamar Beard who Bailey claimed was her boyfriend.

The report states the woman felt uncomfortable so she texted her boyfriend. As she attempted to leave, the report states Beard pulled out a gun and took money from her.

The two then left the hotel room and forced the woman inside a jeep where two other suspects identified as 18-year-old Kyle Elkins Beach and 19-year-old Willie Lomas were.

The suspects drove the woman to her hotel room where they demanded she gather her belongings and told her to contact her boyfriend in an attempt to extort more money.

From there, they took her to an apartment complex. The report states the woman's boyfriend was able to track her location through an app.

Investigators say the group pulled the woman out of the jeep, punched her in the face and kicked her leaving her with multiple scratches, a large cut and fractures to her face.

While on the ground, the woman was able to get up and run away to a nearby metro patrol car.

Police located the suspects' jeep, obtained a search warrant and found her belongings inside.

Officers later identified, located and arrested all four suspects.

The woman was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The four suspects are expected to appear in court for the charges they face Dec. 14th.
