Road closures expected as President Joe Biden arrives in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — UPDATE 3/14: The closures are pushed back approximately one hour for this evening.

ORIGINAL: The Las Vegas Metro Police Department (LVMPD) expects significant disruptions to residents' evening commute Tuesday as the President of the United States arrives in Las Vegas.

On Tuesday, March 14, LVMPD expects hard closures for:

Between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.: Airport Connector, 215 Westbound, I-15 Northbound between 215 and US 95, US 95 Northbound between Spaghetti Bowl to Summerlin Parkway, Summerlin Parkway (both directions)
Between 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.: Summerlin Parkway to US 95, I-15 Southbound in the resort corridor

Wednesday, March 15, closures:

12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.: Maryland Parkway from Tropicana to Russell (Airport Connector will also be closed)

LVMPD advises drivers to schedule plenty of time if they are trying to access the airport.

At this time, this is a tentative schedule and is subject to change.
