Shed fire spreads to house, displacing four near Nellis and Tropicana

A fire that started in a backyard shed and burned through a house in east Las Vegas on Monday afternoon.

According to the Clark County Fire Department, the blaze was reported at around 6 p.m. on Fairfax Avenue, near Nellis Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue. Fire crews arrived to see smoke and flames coming from the house.

After an offensive attack, Firefighters knocked the fire down at 6:20 p.m.

All four residents were safely evacuated. No injuries were reported.

American Red Cross is assisting the displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimate has been released.
