Firefighters put out small fire inside building at McCarran Airport


Crews responded to a small fire inside a building at McCarran International Airport Wednesday morning.

Several fire engines were seen at a building near the A and Be terminals, with Allegiant planes outside.

A spokesperson for Allegiant said there was a small fire in a stores facility that sparked around 6:50 a.m. About 25 people were working inside the building at the time, and all were evacuated safely.

The fire was extinguished and did not involve any aircraft. It will not impact any flights at McCarran.

Crews are still investigating the cause of the fire, according to the airport.
