LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) - After burglars broke into a storage facility in the Southwest part of the valley, News 3 discovered a rash of break-ins at the same facility.
"I'm numb," says Letti Simoni who was a renter at Life Storage on Warm Springs near Rainbow Boulevard. "I've been vandalized. I've been victimized I don't know, this has been one stressful event for me."
She says her stereo system was stolen, as well as her Barbie collectibles and other irreplaceable items.
"My dad just passed away in August so his stuff was in there and there was stuff that was sentimental. No amount of money is going to give that back to me," says Simoni.
She got a call last Friday from Jamie, a manager at Life Storage who mentioned her unit was broken into.
"When I was here on Friday and spoke with Jamie she told me that this has never happened in the last two and half years," she said.
However, while News 3 was on the scene, we ran into another woman who says items from her unit were also stolen.
"One of the most common things that we are seeing in our valley, thieves are breaking into these storage facilities," says Metro Officer Michael Rodriguez.
Police say 14 burglaries have been reported at the same facility in the last month.
We went back to Life Storage to get answers.
Fatima Rahmatullah: "Hi Jamie. I'm a reporter with Channel 3. You'd mentioned to her that there haven't been many burglaries."
Jamie: "No I have no comment. I'm going to lock the door. Thank you."
Simoni says she called the office and corporate headquarters nearly two dozen times, so far nobody has called her back.
"I just want my stuff back," Simoni said.
News 3 reached out to Lifetime Storage Corporate Headquarters, they have not returned our calls.
