LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
Several Las Vegas surface streets will be closed this weekend for bridge demolition work, according to a transportation spokesman.
The bridge work is part of the "Main Event" for Project Neon, the nearly 4-mile long widening of I-15 from the Spaghetti bowl to Sahara Avenue.
Closures will hit Martin Luther King Boulevard at U.S. 95 and Alta Drive/Bonneville Avenue at I-15, NDOT spokesman Tony Illia said in a statement.
The closures will be in place from 10 p.m. Friday, April 6, to 5 a.m. Monday, April 9.
The following on- and -off-ramps will be closed over the weekend as well, according to NDOT:
- Interstate 15 north and southbound offramps to Martin Luther King Boulevard will be closed from 9 p.m., April 6, until 6 a.m., April 9.
- U.S. Highway 95 north and southbound offramps to Martin Luther King Boulevard will be closed from 9 p.m., April 6, until 6 a.m., April 9.
- Martin Luther King Boulevard onramp to U.S. Highway 95 northbound will be closed from 9 p.m., April 6, until 6 a.m., April 9.
In the meantime, NDOT announced Thursday that the northbound U.S. 95-to-southbound I-15 ramp would reopen Friday, April 6, about a week ahead of schedule.
