LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A suspect has been arrested for murder after a man was found shot to death in the east Las Vegas valley on Thursday, according to police.
Steven McLucas, 42, was taken into custody and booked into Clark County Detention Center, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
Officers responded just before 8 a.m. for a welfare check in the 1600 block of Nesting Way, near Owens Avenue and Nellis Boulevard, according to LVMPD.
They found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide investigators learned the victim was shot during a fight, allegedly with McLucas, who was arrested while at the scene.
