LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A suspect has been arrested in the deadly shooting of a 20-year-old man at a Desert Shores apartment earlier this month, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
Alvester Wilson, 28, was arrested on Tuesday after a barricade situation in the 9700 block of Fox Estate Street, LVMPD said in a statement.
Court records indicate he's being held on suspicion of open murder, prohibited person in possession of a gun and discharging a gun into an occupied structure or vehicle.
Police responded to an apartment complex near Cheyenne and Rampart on July 3 on a report of a shooting. Officers found a man with a gunshot wound, and he was taken to UMC.
The victim died on July 6, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office. He was identified as 20-year-old Michael Menephee.
LVMPD released surveillance video of two individuals identified as persons of interest. It's unclear if a second person is still sought by police.
