Suspect found dead after barricade situation in North Las Vegas
NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KSNV) —
A suspect was found dead after a shooting led to a barricade situation overnight Thursday in North Las Vegas, according to a police spokesman.
Officers responded at 11 p.m. Wednesday to a home on Tropic Breeze Street, near Ann Road and Bruce Street, on a report of a domestic situation and shooting, Officer Aaron Patty said.
They found a female victim with a gunshot wound, and she was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The suspect stayed inside the home, and a barricade situation developed, Patty said.
Officers ultimately entered the home around 3 a.m. and found the suspect dead from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound, he said.
The official cause of death is awaiting confirmation from the Clark County Coroner's Office, according to Patty.
