Barricade suspect surrenders after hours inside southwest valley residence
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
2:05 P.M. SUNDAY UPDATE:
The man has surrendered to police and is being taken for a hospital evaluation. Nobody else was inside the house.
SWAT units were at the scene from 7 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
Police have been working a barricade situation in the southwest valley since about midnight Sunday.
"It's a subject who is possibly suicidal and possibly armed in the 7300 block of Arrowrock Avenue," Lt. Grant Rogers of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told News 3.
The location is north of Starr Avenue and west of Rainbow Boulevard.
Several LVMPD units, including a helicopter, have been working the situation.
Motorists should avoid the area.
