Police are on the hunt for the suspects who stole a forklift and tried to steal an ATM Thursday morning at a bank on Buffalo Drive near Flamingo Road.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says around 4 a.m. at a Chase Bank, a couple of thieves rode up on a forklift. The bad guys tried picking up the ATM and making off with it.

Fortunately, an alarm went off and scared off the criminals. The thieves took off on foot. Police say the suspects stole the forklift and tried to use it as a way to steal the ATM. No money was taken.

"That's just crazy, I mean that's out of the ordinary. I mean you have to be on some kind of drugs to do that kind of thing," said Chase Bank customer Lazaro Dermas.

Police have not released a description of the suspects.
