A British Airways flight aborted because of an engine fire during takeoff in September at McCarran International Airport may fly again.

In fact, the Boeing 777 never left Southern Nevada.

McCarran confirming the airline is now beginning to repair the plane, however, makes clear it has nothing to do with the operation.

What once was Flight 2276 is now housed in a tent, dismantled, and fenced off from normal airport operations.

Friday marks the start of a new beginning. Passengers at McCarran also believe the smoke is finally clear.

"I mean if they repaired it and checked to make sure it was all safe, I guess I would be fine," says Lisa, traveling from Boston.

"Oh no, I would go on it. I mean they aren't going to let people on it if they don't think it's fixed," says Laurie, traveling from Chicago.

The flight from Sept. 8, 2015, may eventually complete it's nonstop flight from Las Vegas to London.
