Two men arrested in connection for killing a woman in northwest valley


Two men wanted in connection with shooting a woman to death in her driveway earleir this week were arrested Friday in Palmdale, Calif.

The shooting occurred Wednesday in the 6400 block of Morley Avenue, near Torrey Pines and Smoke Ranch Road.

Police say 60-year-old Sheri Aoyagi and her husband went to lunch, returned home and saw a vehicle they didn't recognize in their driveway.

According to police, Sheri, got out of her car, and at that moment, two men ran out of their house and shot and killed her.

An undercover operating in the Los Angeles suburbs found the suspects.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers said once the men realized officers were chasing them in California, they lost control of their car and crashed into a parked car.

Four suspects escaped on foot, but were apprehended about an hour after a perimeter was set up.

The arrest was a joint operation by Metro, FBI, the Los Angeles Police Department and the California Highway Patrol.

It is unknown where the two arrested are being held or when they will be returned to Las Vegas.
