LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) — Metro is investigating the deaths of a man and a woman in their 20s inside the Union Apartment Homes at Hualapai and Peace Way.
Police say a friend found them after several days had passed without hearing from the man and woman.
Police were notified just before 12:40 p.m. about the deaths. Officers say that the bodies had been inside the apartment for at least a day, but there was no sign of forced entry in the unit.
The male victim had several bullet wounds, but police were not able to determine how the woman may have died.
Neighbors say the complex is usually a quiet place, filled with mostly long-term residents and families.
Evidence at the scene suggests that there may be two adult male suspects; however, they have yet to be identified.
A motive remains unknown.
These are the 141st and 142nd homicides investigated by Metro in 2016. The identity of the victims, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
