Fire at vacant apartment closes down Bonanza near H Street

Firefighters battle blaze near Bonanza and H Street

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue crews are battling a two-alarm apartment fire near Bonanza Road and H Street.

The two-story apartment fire was first reported just before 5:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Fire hoses had to be pulled across the road, forcing them to close down Bonanza between H Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

The apartment is located at the former site of the Moulin Rouge. LVFR has reportedly fought several other vacant apartment fires in the same area.

As the fire continued to burn, fire crews were pulled back as the flames caused the roof to collapse.

No injuries have been reported. Check back for updates.
