Four people have been displaced after a fire gutted a vacant apartment in the central Las Vegas valley late Tuesday night.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue said crews responded just after 10:20 p.m. on a report of a fire on Pebble Beach Boulevard, near Decatur Boulevard and Vegas Drive.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from a first-floor apartment. They were able to put out the fire without any injuries reported.

Four people in the above unit were displaced. The cause is under investigation, and Fire & Rescue says squatters were in the unit just before the fire sparked.
