LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Philadelphian rapper Meek Mill was not getting into The Cosmopolitan Saturday as resort staff reportedly threatened to arrest him if he stepped onto the property.
A video posted on Meek Mill’s verified Twitter account Saturday, May 25, shows the rapper, his security team and staff with The Cosmopolitan discussing why Mill isn’t being allowed inside the Las Vegas Strip resort.
In the video, staff says that Mill, whose real name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, has been trespassed from the resort, meaning security could detain him if he were seen on the property.
According to a report from TMZ, the incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. Saturday, and Mill was there to see DJ Mustard perform at the Marquee Dayclub.

TMZ reports that the rapper had been to The Cosmopolitan five years ago for a Nicki Minaj and Jay-Z event.
Now, Meek Mill’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, is responding in a letter obtained by TMZ saying in part, “We have learned the Cosmopolitan maintains a list of African American recording artists who should be denied access for no other reason than their culture and skin color.”
Tacopina goes on to demand an apology from The Cosmopolitan to Meek Mill and that Mill be granted immediate access.
The Cosmopolitan issued News 3 the following statement regarding the incident:
As a matter of company policy, we do not comment on legal matters. Our guests’ safety and security always remains our top priority.
