WEATHER AUTHORITY: Morning rain, wind expected on Thursday

Grab the umbrellas and raincoats as you're heading out the door Thursday morning.

A low-pressure system passing through is pushing a large area of showers our direction out of California and we could see some of that wet weather for the morning commute. Slow down and give yourself extra time this morning.

Rain chances will wrap up this afternoon, but breezy conditions will continue throughout the day and into Friday and Saturday.

Temperatures will be below normal today, in the low to mid-60s, and will remain below normal for the rest of the 7 day period.

The next weather maker is forecast to arrive on St. Patrick's Day on Saturday with a slight chance for showers, breezy conditions and highs only in the low 60s.

Winds will diminish Sunday and we'll get a brief breakthrough Tuesday, which is also the first day of spring. Rain chances and gusty winds return Tuesday night and Wednesday.
