Woman charged in Vegas manicurist's death in Las Vegas; hearing set Jan. 31


SATURDAY 11:45 A.M. UPDATE | Krystal Whipple will have a preliminary hearing at 10 a.m. Jan. 31 before Judge Amy Chelini in Las Vegas Justice Court.

Whipple had her initial appearance Saturday, Jan. 19, where she was advised of the charges brought against her and appointed a public defender.

Whipple was denied bail.

ORIGINAL | The woman accused of running down and killing a local manicurist is back in Las Vegas facing murder charges.

Police caught 21-year-old Krystal Whipple last week in Glendale, Arizona.

Investigators say she ran over Annie Nguyen on Dec. 29, 2018 after trying to use a fraudulent credit card to pay for a $35 manicure.

Court records show she was extradited and booked into the Clark County Detention Center, Friday.

Whipple is scheduled to make her first appearance next week.
