Woman dies after possible medical incident-related crash
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reports that a woman has died after crashing into a wall near Warm Springs Road and Eastern Avenue.
The crash took place in the parking lot of the Marisol Apartments at 1:43 p.m. Saturday.
Police say evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated a 2014 Mini Copper was traveling east through the parking lot and attempted to turn left into a parking stall. The vehicle turned wide to the right of the parking stall and came to rest when the front of the vehicle contacted a trash enclosure.
A witness to the event noticed the operator of the vehicle was possibly experiencing a medical episode and called for emergency medical services.
The woman driving the vehicle was transported to the hospital but was pronounced deceased after arrival. She was 65 years old.
This collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section and will not be counted as a traffic related fatality until the cause and manner of death are determined to be related to the collision by the Clark County coroner's office.
