Woman found shot to death at south Las Vegas Boulevard resort
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
A woman was found shot to death early Wednesday morning at a resort on the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard, according to authorities.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police say the victim was found at Tahiti Village, near Las Vegas Boulevard and Warm Springs Road.
A guest who is staying on property heard a single gunshot a little before 2 a.m. and ran to get security. Security guards found the woman’s body laying in a remote area of the resort near the boiler room. Investigators say she was shot at least once.
LVMPD responded to the report from resort security around 2:40 a.m. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Very surprising, considering the neighborhood. It’s very quiet over here,” said Clifford Anglade, who lives near the area. “Never would have thought there would be a homicide, especially in Tahiti Village.”
According to LVMPD, the woman was seen walking with an unknown man an hour before she was found.
No suspect information is immediately available.
