Woman shot near Sahara and Sloan, suspect on the loose

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a suspect who they say shot a woman in the legs on Thursday morning.

According to LVMPD, the incident began as a domestic disturbance call at 7:30 a.m. at a home on Mossy Oaks Lane, located near Sahara Avenue and Sloan Lane.

The man involved in the domestic disturbance left before officers arrived, but at 9:07 a.m. police received a second call about the same residence -- this time to report a shooting.

The woman who was shot in the legs was transported Sunrise Medical Hospital. No information about the woman's condition has been released.

LVMPD is searching for the suspect, who they believe to be the same man involved in the earlier domestic disturbance.

No information about the suspect's identity has been released.
