DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WZTV) - What was supposed to be the happiest day of one bride's life turned into a time for healing after her firefighter fiance was killed by an alleged drunk driver.

Loving Life Photography captured photos of Jessica Padgett as she, family and friends honored her late fiance, Montgomery County Volunteer Firefighter Kendall Murphy.

Jessica was supposed to be married to the love of her life on Sept. 29 of this year, but that dream was cut short last November. While responding to a crash, Kendall was hit and killed by an alleged drunk driver, who FOX 59 reports was also a volunteer firefighter.

Jessica got into her dress with full hair and makeup on what was supposed to be her wedding day. Photos going viral online show Jessica posing with some of Kendall's firefighter gear and grieving over his grave.

Photographer Mandi Knepp told FOX 17 News she hopes the photos will help heal others who are going through a tragic loss.
