Report: Hotel owner MGM pressured Las Vegas guard Jesus Campos to only appear on "Ellen"

WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) -- MGM, the owner of Mandalay Bay Hotel, pressured security guard Jesus Campos to only commit to one interview with "Ellen" in order to avoid hard hitting questions, according to The Daily Mail.

The hotel owner is afraid of lawsuits that may come their way from the families of those injured and killed in the Las Vegas shooting that occurred in the beginning of October.

Before Wednesday's interview with "Ellen," Campos was scheduled to appear on other news outlets such as ABC, NBC and Fox News. But MGM believed Campos would not keep his story straight under pressure of hard hitting questions.

During Campos' interview, DeGeneres didn't ask him any questions about conflicting timelines. The hotel is currently disputing the timeline released by Las Vegas Police. It has already been changed three times since the initial release.

Two lawsuits have already been filed against MGM Resorts - one lawsuit for negligence and the other lawsuit for wrongful death.
