"We are very excited to host this exhibit that explores the relationship between birds and dinosaurs," said Marilyn Gillespie, Museum Director at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum.
"Dinosaurs Take Flight" explores the life of Archaeopteryx, the elusive full-wing maniraptor that lived during the Jurassic period, and is considered by many to be the missing link between birds and dinosaurs. The traveling exhibit from Silver Plume Exhibitions and the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History blends science and art, featuring more than 50 pieces of original artwork, murals, sculptures, interactive displays and collection of fossils.
