Mariana’s Charity Foundation launches United for Mexico

Mariana’s Charity Foundation, a not for profit charitable organization founded by the Anaya family, owners of Mariana’s Supermarkets in the Las Vegas market, is organizing and hosting a public fundraiser to aid victims of the recent devastating earthquake in Central Mexico. All procesds will be funneled to the Mexican Red Cross.

This event will take place Sunday September 24, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mariana’s Supermarket Store #2, located at 3631 West Sahara Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada 89102. The event will take place in the huge parking lot adjacent to this Mariana’s location. Mariana’s owns the whole commercial center. For previous events, it has accommodated well over 3,000 people.

Live music and other entertainment and performances will be provided free by local musical groups and other artists. Food and beverage will be available – any proceeds those sales generate will also be donated to the Mexican Red Cross.

The Latin Chamber of Commerce is also involved in this endeavor, as are smaller local service and community organizations, joined for UNIDOS POR MEXICO / UNITED FOR MEXICO.

All major Spanish-language media serving Southern Nevada have agreed to promote and participate in this event. These include: Entravision, NBCU/Telemundo, Azteca, Lotus Broadcasting, KYLI La Campesina, and Univision Radio. Some English-language media entities plan to join this effort too.
