Beauty benefits of matcha tea with Heather Marianna
LAS VEGAS (KSNV News3LV) —
If you have ever had matcha tea, you know it's delicious!
But did you know it can be used in other ways to rejuvenate your skin?
Heather Marianna of Beauty Kitchen is here to tell us all about it.
From Kourtney Kardashian to Brad Pitt, celebrities are raving about the benefits of matcha.
Matcha is a finely ground, bright emerald-green tea powder and has been the heart of the famous Japanese tea ceremony for over 900 years. Buddhist monks have honored it as a "health elixir."
Full of amazing antioxidants and polyphenols, matcha tea has a high amount of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which had numerous health benefits.
Here are few beauty options you can use matcha for:
Matcha Clay Antioxidant Mask
- Using detox clay, mix 1-part matcha and 1-part clay mix with rosewater, and apply to skin. Allow it to dry and remove with micellar water or a lukewarm towel.
Matcha Rosewater Toner
- Add a little matcha into your favorite bottle of Beauty Kitchen's rosewater toner and keep it in the fridge. Spritz your face every morning with the mixture.
Matcha and Honey Exfoliate
- Add a little honey to matcha and slather it on. Honey is a natural exfoliate so it will remove dead skin cells and allow the matcha to seep deep into the skin, allowing antioxidants to penetrate.
Also, on June 30 from 6-8 p.m., Marianna will provide freebies at the opening of Landing Strip's newest wax pad at 2895 N. Green Valley Parkway, Suite E in Henderson.
