New York police search for man who sucker punched traffic agent
NEW YORK (NBC) —
Police in New York are looking for the man who blind-sided a New York City traffic officer.
Authorities say on Wednesday he punched a New York Police Department traffic agent so hard he knocked the agent unconscious.
The agent fell to the pavement and was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for head and neck injuries.
After the violent punch, the suspect, described to be in his 20s, fled the scene.
Police say the agent doesn't know the suspect or why he punched him.
