LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — U.S. Senator and presidential candidate Cory Booker, D-New Jersey, will hold a campaign event in North Las Vegas this weekend.
Booker will make his first official campaign stop in Nevada on Sunday, Feb. 24, for a discussion with prospective voters, according to a press release.
The event is scheduled to begin at noon at the Nevada Partners, Inc., Event Center on W. Lake Mead Boulevard. Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP online.
Booker is part of a growing field that is vying for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination, including fellow Sens. Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and Amy Klobuchar. Warren held a campaign event in Las Vegas on Sunday, Feb. 17.
He previously visited the Las Vegas valley in October ahead of the midterm elections to campaign for Nevada Democrats.
Nevada's caucus is third in the schedule for the presidential nomination, following Iowa and New Hampshire.
