If anything, Bryce Harper’s agent, Scott Boras, made it more confusing as to what uniform Harper will wear on Opening Day when Boras addressed the media Wednesday at Mandalay Bay during MLB's Winter Meetings.

Surrounded by 50 plus media members, Boras said that while the Yankees may have said they’re not interested in the outfielder, he hasn’t heard that from them.

When asked how his meetings with the Phillies have gone this week, he said he’d let the Phillies answer that.

In response to the Nationals saying they are still negotiating with Harper, despite the team’s owner saying he thought Harper had moved on, Boras said, when they say the door is open, he'd certainly pay attention to that.

Out of all that was said at the press conference, one detail which was made clear is that Harper is looking for a long-term deal.

Further evidence that Harper would like to make a long-term commitment is his reported interest in each team’s long-term futures.

Boras said Harper is studying the teams' farm systems to find out what kind of talent is coming up.

He said a deal could be meetings away or weeks away.
