Full Sportscast: Golden Knights and Runnin' Rebels left licking wounds after home losses
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
The Golden Knights left feeling the “day after” affect after falling to the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 in their return to T-Mobile Arena.
It was the first of eight-of-nine-games on home ice for Vegas.
A bad loss if you consider the Knights held a 3-2 lead midway through the third period. After the game Nate Schmidt was visibly unhappy with his play personally and the outcome of the game.
Head coach Gerard Gallant, chose to give more credit to the Jackets in the win. Gallant felt his team played well except for the segments when they gave up goals.
UNLV suffered their fifth loss in the Mountain West Conference play with a 83-65 loss. The Runnin’ Rebels (6-5, 12-11) are still in the middle of the pack in conference.
The Lakers fell back to .500 with a 143-120 loss to the Sixers. Joel Embid had a great game scoring 37 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. The Lakers were lead by Kyle Kuzma’s 39 points.
