The Vegas Golden Knights have signed defenseman Colin Miller to a four-year contract.

The deal announced Saturday runs through the 2021-22 season and pays an average salary of $3.87 million.

The 25-year-old Miller led all defensemen on the Golden Knights with a career-high 41 points (10 goals, 31 assists). He had five goals and 17 points on the power play during the regular season and added three goals and four assists during the team's stunning run to the Stanley Cup Final in its first year in the NHL.

Miller was selected by the Golden Knights during the 2017 expansion draft. He has 19 goals, 51 assists and 147 penalty minutes in 185 career games over three seasons with Vegas and the Boston Bruins.

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier became a two-division champion Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena, knocking out now former UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic in the first round.

Cormier joined Conor McGregor as the only fighters in UFC history to hold two titles in different divisions simultaneously.

Bishop Gorman graduate and Portland Trail Blazer’s center Zach Collins had a game high three blocks in Saturday’s NBA Summer League game against former Duke star Grayson Allen and the Utah Jazz.

Portland defeated Utah 93-78.

Collins was drafted tenth overall in 2017.

England has reached the World Cup semifinals for the first time in 28 years.

Harry Maguire and Dele Alli provided headed goals as England earned a 2-0 win against Sweden. Maguire deflected Ashley Young's corner in the 30th minute to open the scoring. Alli later became the second-youngest Brit to score a World Cup goal.

The outcome sets up an England-Croatia semifinal on Wednesday. Ivan Rakitic provided the clinching score as the Croats beat host Russia 4-3 on penalty kicks after the two teams played to a 2-2 draw.

France and Belgium will square off in Tuesday's semifinal.
