Golden Knights' first-ever player called up from minor league affiliate Chicago Wolves


    Reid Duke has been called up from the American Hockey League to be a part of the Golden Knights. He's the first addition from the Knights' affiliated minor league team. (KSNV)

    The first-ever player to sign with the Vegas Golden Knights was called up from the American Hockey League Chicago Wolves Wednesday morning.

    Reid Duke was at the Golden Knight's optional practice at City National Arena Wednesday and spoke with News 3 about the opportunity to play in his first-ever NHL game.

    That could happen as soon as Thursday when the Golden Knights host the Chicago Blackhawks.

    As a result of Duke's recall, forward Daniel Carr was assigned to the Wolves.
