UNLV began the college basketball season Saturday with a 108-66 win over Florida A&M at the Thomas and Mack Center.

The new-look Rebels received a great performance by new point guard Jordan Johnson and were sparked by junior college transfer Shakur Juiston, who had 19 points, and McDonald’s All-American Brandon McCoy, who led the team with 25 points.

The Golden Knights improved to 7-1 at home with a victory over Winnipeg on Friday night.
