Sports Saturday: Runnin' Rebels top Southern Utah, improve to 6-0

The Runnin’ Rebels men's basketball team moved to 6-0 with a 101- 82 win over Southern Utah. Jordan Johnson led the team with 24 points. The Lady Rebels also improved to 4-0 with a 16-point win over Hofstra.

Tomas Nosek, William Karlsson and Erik Haula scored in a 1:42 span of the second period and the Vegas Golden Knights went on to win their fifth straight, 4-2 over the Arizona Coyotes.

The biggest game of the season for the UNLV football team ended up being the most disappointing.

One win away from a bowl game and taking home the Fremont Cannon ended up being a 23-16 loss to the Wolf Pack, ending the Rebels' season at 5-7.

The Desert Pines Jaguars became back-to-back champions with a win over Mojave 54-24 in the 3A State Championship Game.
