UFC president talks about New Year's card, changing view on women's bouts
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) —
This past week, News 3 learned that UFC’s New Year's weekend card set for Dec. 30 at T-Mobile Arena, will be headlined by women's featherweight champion Cris Cyborg and former women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm.
This marks the second straight year that women will headline the New Year's card.
This news comes as the UFC crowned Nicco Montano its very first women's flyweight champion on Friday.
UFC President Dana White spoke about the new 125-pound women's division and explained why he once opposed all women fighting.
He also spoke about the possibility of Conor McGregor defending his UFC lightweight belt and discussed getting into boxing in the new year.
