Full Sportscast: Aces beat Seattle, Gerard Gallant on life after Stanley Cup loss

On Wednesday, the NHL Awards Show will be broadcast live out of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Vegas Golden Knights head coach, Gerard Gallant, is up for the Jack Adams Award, the NHL's version of coach of the year.

Despite the honor and having taken the expansion team all the way to the Stanley Cup Final in its inaugural season, it was clear when News 3 spoke with him Tuesday that the Stanley Cup loss weighs heavy on his heart.

Also attending Wednesday's NHL Awards Show are some of the surviving members of the Humboldt Broncos hockey team which was involved in a horrific bus crash that killed sixteen in April.

They took part in a press conference at the Encore Tuesday.

That's where the NHL and NHL Players Association revealed that on August 24th, they'll hold an event in Humboldt, Saskatchewan for the junior "A" club.

This event in Las Vegas marked the first time that many of the players had seen each other since the accident.

A'ja Wilson had 25 points and 15 rebounds and the Las Vegas Aces pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat the Seattle Storm 87-77 on Tuesday night.
