Kelly Curran

After more than a decade of forecasting the weather, Kelly Curran made the change to traffic in 2022. You can see her both in the studio and in Sky 3, the only news helicopter in the state of Nevada, during News 3 Today, Wake Up with the CW, and on News 3 Live at 5 in the evening. Kelly reports on traffic issues that affect your daily commute as well as breaking news.

Kelly was born in the Chicago area, on Groundhog Day of all days, and grew up just outside of Detroit. She graduated from Central Michigan University in 2005 with a major in Meteorology and minors in Mathematics and Geography.

After college, Kelly started her career in Erie, Pennsylvania as a weekend meteorologist and reporter. Not only did she forecast the local weather, but she also produced weather broadcasts for the entire Caribbean and the Inland Empire of Southern California. She then went to Madison, Wisconsin, and Springfield, Illinois before moving to Southern Nevada in 2012.

Kelly has lives in Las Vegas with her dog, Raina, and cat, Luna both rescues. Her passions include hiking, yoga, Pilates, and swimming.
