Closures coming to I-15, Charleston Boulevard for Project Neon

Separate closures are coming to Interstate 15 and Charleston Boulevard this week as part of the Project Neon widening projects.

Tony Illia, spokesman for the Nevada Department of Transportation, said the closure for I-15 starts at 11 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, and lasts through 5 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, between Spring Mountain Road and Sahara Avenue.

In addition, the west and eastbound Spring Mountain Road on-ramps for northbound I-15 will be closed from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday.

The Flamingo Road northbound on-ramp for I-15 will be closed during the same time period as well.

In a separate closure, Charleston Boulevard will be closed at I-15 from 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, until 6 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, then again from 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, through 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 17.

The southbound Charleston off-ramp for I-15 will be closed during the same times as well.

The closure is needed for freeway ramp construction, according to NDOT.
