Northbound I-15 to close between Sahara and Charleston on Tuesday night
Anyone planning on travelling on the I-15 Northbound between 10 p.m. Tuesday night and 4:30 a.m. Wednesday morning will find themselves having to take another route as they approach Sahara Avenue.
The Nevada Department of Transportation will close down during those hours as Active Traffic Management signs are installed as part of Project Neon -- the nearly $1 billion 4-mile-long widening of Interstate 15 from the U.S. 95 interchange to Sahara Avenue that began in 2016.
NDOT has released a graphic showing two possible alternate routes -- one down Las Vegas Boulevard, and another down Rancho Drive.
The Sahara onramp to Interstate I-15 Northbound will also close during that time.
Project Neon is 88 percent finished and scheduled for substantial completion in the summer of 2019.
